FEBRUARY MARCH APRIL MAY OCTOBER
The below is the old blog. Za Frûmi writes a blog now on myspace: www.myspace.com/zafrumi
October 2006
Summer is gone and it was abnormally hot. It is not easy to work with Za Frûmi during hot summers, not even the nights. We made some songs during the summer, but we had to work twice as much as normally. Slowly now, the autumn is coming. The leaves wither and die. Finally.
Last night me and Simon Heath completed the last song on the album “Shrak ishi za Migul” (Gathering in the mist). The song is an outro and create a circle in the story and a circle also in other ways.
We shook hands last night. Completing yet another CD together as friends. It has been a while since Tach – chapter 2. I will not reveal much about chapter 3. It is a work of art and the long awaited continuation of the saga. This album is dark, very dark and also filled with sounds and instruments. Okay… That does not say much. But hey! We want to create something above the ordinary here! This time we took in more people than ever before.
The story, in the saga, is of course very important but also the mood, atmosphere and feeling. This is no mere CD with music. This is music, radio theatre, sound effects, film music, dark fantasy literature, fantasy art and a saga. The Za Frûmi saga.
It is also a linguistic journey through not only black speech but also the language of the dark elves.
Okay, that is not a spoiler but a small hint.
It will be 12 tracks on the album and we wait just a little bit more before revealing the track names.
Now we will work with the artwork and texts for the booklet. Also, master the tracks.

I have just taken a course in Film music here in Stockholm. My last work was an analysis of Trevor Jones music in “Angel Heart” (1987). It’s always interesting to dive into some other composers work so this time was no different. I of course rather do my own work but I truly believe that you never stop learning new stuff. The music in Angel Heart maybe don’t inspire my so much for Za Frûmi but it surely inspire me as a musician.
Thanks to Charles Reynolds and David Purdie Za Frûmi is now got an article in English Wikipedia.

Charles is a friend of ours in Scotland and got a Za Frûmi fan site running since a while back.
David work on a Japanese music magazine and written wonderful reviews!
Both of you deserves running beside Uglakh, Vlodor and Golug on the fields in the northern outlands!
I would also like to thank Jessie D, Michael A, Anders, Martin M and the GB for their help and support!
Me and Heath has been pretty busy doing other stuff than Za Frûmi this month but we will soon go into the studio again. I have been working on melodies a lot and Heath never stop practicing in mixing music.
Heath and I will be answering questions that Jens collect so next Blog will be a summer edition (the same as on the Waerloga site). If you guys got questions send them to Jens: zafrumi@hotmail.com

We took in yet another female into the studio for the solo song on the seventh track. We would like to thank her very much. Thank you Antonia! So, now we sit here with two very good versions of the same track. What to do?
We have decided to use Antonia’s version for the track but Susanne’s will not end up in the trash can. We might be using it for a bonus track or on some compilation? Not sure yet. The two versions differ very much.
Both me and Simon Heath are very happy for all the suggestions we have been getting from people the last couple of month’s. Wired magazine has always been good for us but also you guys! Fans that suggest us to filmmakers, producers, companies, labels and more! Thank you…
Among the suggestions one stand out! I cannot go into it more right now but mention that it involve Orcs and that it’s a serious film project. Looking forward to that!
We also have some other projects (maybe) coming up soon. Stay tuned…
Our focus right now is though to finish the third chapter in the Za Frûmi saga "Shrak ishi za migul".

The seventh song on "Shrak ishi za migul" is now finished. The track was made with the help of the vocalist Susanne Cermenius. She deserves thanks for her help. So, thank you.
I and Simon Heath have not yet decided on which song we will do next. Maybe this Cds "Interludium"? On Za shum ushatar Uglakh and Tach we have interludiums, instrumental and commenting on the story without words or much of atmosphere sounds. Or maybe we continue the story with track 9. A mighty track indeed which need the right mood.
I recently got home from the studio and the work with the seventh song. Donald Person visited us and it almost felt like the good old days. Tonight Donald even played some on his didgeridoo. Donald left Za Frûmi during the work with Tach, 2001. Since then he’s been around as a friend and also as a musician. He and Simon Heath had a project called Knaprika which played on raves and underground parties.
Someone asked me a while back if the saga will have a forth and fifth chapter.
It’s sometimes easy to look ahead. Look beyond what you do right now. I try not to do that to much. But the saga and the orcish branch of our band is unique. Maybe that’s why wired magazine now list us in the history of the orc?
I think we will need a pause from the orcs after "Shrak ishi za migul" but in my mind that pause don’t need to be as long as last time (Tach, 2001) of course!
So what has happened with Za Frûmi since 2000? That’s another question asked to me from a fan.
The history is of course out there for you all to see, but I suspect the question is more about where we are today.
First off. We are a lot more experienced in the field of music and composing.
We have nothing to prove anymore. We do our thing (as always) and many people like it. Others think it’s strange, to dark, ridiculous, scary or whatever.
As I am in the mood today I like to thank all of you who like the project and all of you who written good reviews! Also thanks to those who helped us in one way or the other during the years!
Let me recommend you guys the radio station Rivendell.
Za Frûmi is played there pretty often. It’s mostly soundtrack loving people who seem to listen there so the instrumental branch of Za Frûmi is far more popular than the orcish.

Blog has a meaning among orcs! It means blood.
We started Za Frûmi 2000 and now 6 years later we found ourselves doing a third cd in the saga.
2001 was the year Tach was released, so it´S five years ago we actually made orc dialog!
2002-2005 We worked with Za Frûmi´s other branch "Legends" which resulted in two instrumental
CDs. Other than Za Frûmi both me and Simon Heath have had a chance to work with Abnocto and solo
projects such as Atrium Carceri and Musterion.
Right now we are back to working with the orcs! This, the third cd is not the end of the story.
The story will continue even though characters may die. This new cd "Shrak ishi za migul" will
feature a lot of new sounds, music and people. I will take the opportunity to thank all you guys
who helped us out so far with the cd. One extremely cold night we gathered lot´S of people to act
with us to give you an example. Wired magasine (over 2.1 million readers) once again will write about Za Frûmi. In the story of
the orc Za Frûmi made something new the year 2000.
Heathen Harvest interviewed me about all my projects. You might find it interesting.
