Za Frûmi - Ritualistic Fantasy
Since 2000, Za Frûmi have continued to convey their own brand of dark fantasy inspired music featuring an enchanting conglomeration of raw sound, Middle Age customs, and self-expression through ancient allegory, alchemical tract, and their entourage of instruments.
They have two branches of music: The Za Frûmi Saga and The Za Frûmi Legends. Za Frûmi saga is centered around a wayward group of orcs, and their adventures in deep forests and mysterious castles. Deep flutes, rhythmic drums and atmospheric ambience combine to grant enthusiasts everywhere a unique experience. 'Za shum ushatar Uglakh' was the debut album of Za Frûmi (2000) and was quite different from the normal fantasy inspired albums out there. Using theatrical dialogue and spoken entirely in orcish (Black speech). The other two albums in that branch also use theatrical dialogue in orcish and later on also the language of the dark elves. This work with the orc have granted Za Frûmi a cult status and the band have according to WIRED magazine became one of the nine milestones in the entire history of the orc! This branch is loved all over the world.
The Za Frûmi Legends is a series of albums with instrumental neoclassical dark fantasy music all about the Legends of the world of Za Frûmi. This project is celebrated all over the world!
Right now the band is working with a limited box "Za Frûmi 2000-2008" which will include all 7 releases, another special CD and more...

Encryption - Occult Ambient
When the members of black metal band Sereneless decided to head separate ways in 1998, LacrimaS (keyboards) didn’t feel like putting his musical endeavors to an end. This is when the idea to create dark instrumental music started to find its way to his mind. LacrimaS started out with a Mortiis-like project, called Trollrath, which was inspired by Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings”. After having purchased some new sound equipment and after some experience with programming, however, certain compositions no longer fit with Trollrath’s concept and atmosphere. Therefore, LacrimaS decided to bring a new project to life, with its own sound and story (taking place in the 16th and 18th century, based on historical facts): Encryption.
A full length demo was recorded in LacrimaS’ own little home-studio (2001). Quality was far from poor and positive reactions came floating by. A silent era then followed, but LacrimaS’ inspiration and motivation got a big boost because of some very positive reactions and ideas from certain people (thanks Jan Yrlund!). In November 2002, Lady Clarisse (ex-Black Tears & Avatar) joined Encryption, giving it all more mystery and character. Shortly thereafter, Encryption was offered a contract by Waerloga Records and the debut Secrecy was cast unto the world. There could be no better label to support this act, since Waerloga focuses ONLY on Medieval and Fantasy-related atmospheric music, and they are very true to their cause. The outcome was a fantastic cooperation, which will hopefully be continued for many releases yet!
After the first live gig in May 2004, Lady Satine (ex-Gracefallen) was charmed to add her vocal capacities and she soon became the newest Encryption member. Along with her, the newly written songs were poured into the second album Nosferamor and some ‘old’ songs were vividly transferred onto a DVD.
The music of Encryption will especially appeal to those who occasionally enjoy classical compositions which draw a certain dark gothic curtain around them (put out the light, light a few candles and enjoy the music …). Right now the band is working on the third album which will be a big step up for the Belgium band!

Abnocto - Gothic Atmospheres
Abnocto gathered music gear and started to climb down deep under the center of Stockholm. This was 2002. Simon and Simon had to go up the 60 meters to the surface several times to bring down more and more: Books about Simon Magus, occult books, something to sleep on, water, some food and more. They even got help to get down a Farfisa organ! The duo stayed down there for a week and was only interrupted twice. One time for food to be delivered by some friends and another time by something that might have been some kind of creature (rats?). When they got up again they did not mix the music but some months later they did and also added some stuff.
This project was laying around in the Waerloga Studio for years and also been heard on various compilations such as the AL 100th Anniversary (Compilation of exclusive and unreleased tracks dedicated to Aiwass & New Aeon & The Book Of The Law technically called Liber AL vel Legis sub figura CCXX as delivered by XCIII = 418 to DCLXVI that was dictated in Cairo on April 8th-10th in the year 1904.) and A Tribute to Uglakh - Waerloga Compilation vol. 1. People were telling Simon, Simon and Waerloga Records to release Abnocto and 2007 was the year of the release. In the spring.
The album is inspired by the legendary Simon Magus (also the name of the album Simon Magus).
The music is very dark, historical, atmospheric and gothic!

Lost Kingdom - Neoclassical Nature Mysticism
The beginning of the Swedish Lost Kingdom dates back to year 2000, when brothers Daniel and Mikael Tjernberg starts out a project where neoclassical orchestrations blend with elements from medieval as well as contemporary music, inspired by fantasy worlds and nature mysticism.
After being part of two Waerloga & Radio Rivendell compilation’s the band was offered a record deal. April 2008 As The New Dawn Awakes was officially released, marking the end of a long and demanding journey.
While the musical character is romantic and avant-garde, it also draws near completely different musical styles - such as jazz, and folk music - to create a unique and fresh blend.
Influences are the classical masters and both symphonic and orchestral music.
Right now Lost Kingdom is working with the follow up of the 2008 release.

Gargrim the Liar
Very few know the full story of Gargrim the Liar, few alive that is. It’s told that he is as old as the world itself that he’s always wandered the plains, the fields and the forests. He’s seen things you wouldn’t believe, not even in your wildest dreams. He can tell you stories long forgotten, about lands and people that don’t exist anymore. So if you happen to stumble upon an old man sitting by a fireplace at the tavern telling stories, it might as well be him. Sit down and listen to his tales, you never know if he ever will cross your path again...
This project is the brainchild of the creator of the famous fantasy internet radio known as Radio Rivendell. After Gargrim the Liar could be heard on compilations we knew that this project could really be something special. Influenced by such old masters as Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, Ilan Eshkeri, Javier Navarrete, Howard Shore, Yann Tiersen, Jeremy Soule, James Horner, Steve Jablonsky and more the music sounds like film score music that stands on its own.
Very dark, beautiful and music full of soul.
Right now Gargrim the Liar will very soon be released (debut album) on a double CD together with Anabasis.

Anabasis
Anabasis started 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden. The dark music draws on film music and game music. Most of the songs are inspired by classical music like Mahler, Wagner and Liszt, with a touch of Goldsmith, Kamen and Williams. With a background in archaeology and working in the Stockholm Medieval Museum with sound and film production in the exhibitions, Henrik constantly find himself close to a period most of us in some way or the other are inspired of. Henrik also have a background in classical music and wrote pieces of orchestras already as a teen. He did not find the electronic instruments good enough until recently this is the reason he have not ventured into neo-classic music earlier. Instead he has been working with dark ambient and other styles. Henrik has a broad taste in music. He plays the lute, the piano and the guitar, and realizes his compositions at home and at the Stockholm institute for electro acoustic music (EMS).
The music of Anabasis, like Gargrim the Liar, sounds like film score music that stands on its own. The debut album made like a film score with themes and with very interesting concept behind it.
Right now Anabasis will very soon be released (debut album) on a double CD together with Gargrim the Liar.
